For 2012, almost three million NOK have been allocated to in total 62 Arctic Field Grant applicants.

Arctic Field Grant is a popular source of fieldwork funding for students and researchers based in Norway. We have this time received 72 applications for a total of 4,4 mill. NOK, 62 of which were funded. This year, students, early career researchers and researchers not already established in Svalbard were prioritized. In total almost three mill. NOK were handed out. The official letters to the applicants will be send out next week.

The scholarship is allocated yearly and the next call for proposals will be announced in September of 2012.
